WELHAM JONES COVID UPDATE
As of Monday 19th July, stage 4 of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown commences. Welham Jones will move forward inline with the easing of restrictions but we will be adopting a cautious approach to how we change the way services are delivered, to continue to ensure the safety of clients and our staff.
From Monday 19th
All legal restrictions on funeral attendees are lifted. Social distancing and the use of face masks is no longer a legal requirement, but we ask you to take caution and if you feel unsafe in a gathering then please feel free to wear a face mask and ask others to do so if you wish. Some venues are still asking for face masks to be worn inside the chapels, please ask us at the time for more information.
Our branches will be open to face to face arrangements once again, but please feel free to wear a face covering if you feel safer, and ask us to do the same if you wish. Some of our staff may wear a face mask on your arrival but may remove it once seated in the arranging room behind the desk screen.
Screens will be remaining in place in the branches and in our limousines to ensure everyone’s safety. We also ask that you use the hand gel & sanitation provided on arrival at the branch.
For face to face meetings, we would ask that you please make an appointment; this will avoid unnecessary risk.
We will also still continue with online arrangements and electronic signature if this is something you would prefer if you feel it isn't safe to meet face to face Chapel viewings and dressing of your loved ones remain the same, we do ask that you respect our decision if we limit the number of mourners inside the chapel of rest, this will be down to each individual branch and size of chapel, please ask us at the time of arrangement.
If you have any questions or queries about this please get in touch.
