We recently used Welham Jones Swanley when we suddenly lost Dad. I can’t speak highly enough of the service we received and the support from Donna all the way through from my initial enquiries. As someone who had never experienced planning a funeral before I was blown away by her support and kindness while I was navigating a very difficult and unknown period. Donna was knowledgeable, professional and extremely hard working to help with all the plans for Dads funeral and I couldn’t of asked for a better person to guide me through the process. She is an absolute credit to the company and I had no doubt from my first meeting she was the right person to guide Dad through his final journey and he was in very safe hands. Donna was always on the end of a phone call or email to answer any questions or queries and kept me updated throughout the whole process. She took a lot of the worries and anxiety I was having off my shoulders with her calm and caring approach. Especially with her addition of organising Jill as our celebrant who picked out some lovely readings for a beautiful tribute to Dad and was another level of support for me throughout . While not a process anyone wishes to repeat regularly I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Welham Jones & Donna should I ever need to in the future.

When I first walked into see Donna, I was a heartbroken mess. My mum had already expressed that she wanted Welham Jones in Swanley to direct Dad’s funeral because of their fantastic reviews (they weren’t wrong). So I walked in for what I intended to be a brief chat with Donna. She immediately made me feel at ease. Donna gave me all the time I needed, and it felt so easy opening up to her. (Which I did).

I was in a complete muddle of emotions, but Donna made all my emotions feel validated. She gave me all the time I needed, and that was just our first meeting. I went home, spoke with Mum, and booked an appointment to arrange Dad’s final day. Again, she gave us time and didn’t rush us. We went through everything in fine detail so that Dad would have a beautiful service, which was what he deserved. And that was certainly delivered. Donna and her team allowed us to give Dad a beautiful day. It was like she was part of our family in the way she helped and cared for us and Dad. I will be eternally grateful. From the coffin, florist, wake, celebrant. Everything was perfect. All of the team were immaculately dressed, professional, and respectful to Dad and our wishes. If I could give a billion stars, I would.

Dad’s funeral was handled brilliantly from the moment we enquired in the Chislehurst branch! Robin and Sharon were amazing! Once we decided upon Welham Jones everything was made simple, removing the stress and nothing was too much trouble, they dealt with everything!

They arranged collecting dad, as he had passed away in hospital, and then began organising everything else. From designing the Order of Service, contacting the priest, arranging the organist, help with choosing the funeral package and deciding on the coffin and cars, everything was handled brilliantly

On the day, Janet and the team were absolutely brilliant, arriving early and taking the time to explain every step that would take place. The cars were luxurious and we took a slow drive to the church arriving early, the day could not have been more perfect. Thanks to Welham Jones, I feel that dad received the send off he deserved, I would highly recommend their services.
