Tier 4 Update – Funerals.

As of Sunday 20th December 2020 funeral numbers are unaffected in tier 4, meaning up to 30 people can still attend a funeral service in a COVID secure location i.e. place of worship or crematorium or a public outside space. Up to 6 people can attend a wake, stone setting or interment of cremated remains (ashes) but this has to be held outside and social distance maintained.

People who live in Tier 4 areas may travel to a funeral or linked commemorative event outside the Tier 4 area, but the event must follow the Tier 4 gathering limits. Similarly, people who live outside a Tier 4 area and are going to a funeral or linked commemorative inside a Tier 4 area must comply with the Tier 4 gathering limits.

Our limousine service will still be available during Tier 4, but in line with current restrictions we ask that it is only 1 household/support bubble in a limousine and that face masks are worn whilst travelling in them, unless you are exempt.

Sadly, our offices will be closing to face to face arrangements during Tier 4 lockdown, our staff will still be working so our phone lines are open and funeral arrangements will be made over the phone, online and/or video calling.

Adhering to governments guidelines and the everchanging Tier process chapel viewings are still allowed but with certain restrictions* in place.
