Richard and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you for looking after us so well throughout the whole funeral process, from beginning to the end. What is a very emotional time for a family is immensely eased by the professionalism and empathy you showed us. We knew we were in safe hands with every detail covered and confirmed, including the the Order of Service, the music and the photos. I also greatly appreciated Janet ringing me the day before the funeral to go through the details from her side. Such attention to detail meant we knew we could relax on the day. We were also very pleased that you could arrange for Steve Browning to conduct the service. He did this most sensitively and entirely as we requested. I shall also write to him personally. Once again, many thanks, and please pass on our thanks to Janet and to all the staff at Welham Jones who contributed to making the day run so smoothly. It was a beautiful service, giving our mother the send off she deserved.

I know just how much my Father, really appreciated all the guidance and support from the very first moment he met you Mel, when he was feeling raw, alone and deep in early grief. He would talk to me about how every call, every, decision and every suggestion was made with calm, patient care and he was so grateful for your partnership in helping him plan the ceremony today. Michelle, your words, your thoughts, your elegant guiding hand throughout the service made today so thoughtful, so fluid and so peaceful. At a time when we feel battered, bruised and vulnerable it felt that your every word helped. Thank you for all the time and trouble you took, it felt like an honour to have you at the helm today. Mel, please can you thank Rebecca. To the very end, she was thoughtful, graceful, dignified, kind and similarly, it felt special to have my Mother, my Father, my family under her direction and care. She mentioned to me that she had also looked after my Mother after she passed away and that has given me all the more comfort. Please forgive that I don’t know the drivers’ and pall bearers’ names but I do know that it takes a team and everyone was really impressive. My Father was clear from early on that he wanted an all female team in leading roles. I didn’t quite understand when he told me, but this morning I truly did. Delivering dignity is an art form at the best of times, but in these conditions it must be so, so much tougher. I said this to Michelle and Rebecca individually today, and I meant every word. If any of you ever wonder whether what you do matters, or if you wake weary for the task or day ahead, please know from me that it really does make a huge difference. It really does matter. You are artists in your field and I am truly grateful. Again, thank you all so much.

I cant describe how good Welham Jones in Sevenoaks are. Lady that works in their is very very helpful and got a great sense of humour. Would 100% recommended this company. They dont rush you in to anything, they give u alot of time to choose what you would like to give your loved ones the send offs they deserve. Sadly we lost our twins in April. Walking into a funeral home was the most daunting experience as a couple that we have never had to deal with someone passing away before. From the moment we walked in Mel took us under her wing and took everything onboard for us. We barely had to do a thing except some paperwork.
