Some families want one last conversation, even a one-sided one. Others simply need to see for themselves that their person looks peaceful, especially after a sudden or unexpected death. A viewing can also matter for faith or cultural reasons, or because relatives are travelling in from further afield and this is their only chance to say goodbye in person.
There’s no pressure to decide quickly, and no expectation either way. Some Borough Green families choose to visit; others choose not to, and both are entirely normal. If you’re unsure, our team can talk it through with you before you decide anything.
Our Chapel of Rest Viewing Process in Borough Green
It starts with a call to 01732 780600. We’ll ask a little about what you’d like, then book a visit at our Borough Green funeral home at 43 Western Road, just off the A25 in the centre of the village. Daytime appointments run Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with weekend visits available by request.
The room itself is private and unhurried, away from the busier parts of the building. You’re welcome to bring a photograph, a letter, or a small keepsake to leave with your loved one. Our team can stay with you throughout, or step outside and give you the room to yourselves, whichever feels right.
Chapel of Rest Viewing Cost in Borough Green
A daytime viewing during our normal opening hours is included when you arrange a funeral with us. Visits outside those hours, in the evening, at the weekend, or on a bank holiday, can sometimes carry a small additional charge, and we’ll always say so upfront rather than let it come as a surprise later. You’ll have a written estimate before anything is agreed, and no hidden fees at any stage.
