Funeral Prices : Do You Price Match or are Funeral Prices Fixed?

Today’s funeral question is one that we are often asked about funeral prices, is, “do your price match or are funeral prices fixed?” The answers are respectively yes and no. We do price match as long as it is for a like for like service that we’re being asked to match.

And in terms of the “No” No, each funeral director is entitled to set the prices that they choose for their services. However, recent legislation does require us to complete a template of like services for unattended cremations, attended cremations and a local burial. And these prices have to be displayed on our website, in our premises, and on our shop window. So that the public can see the differences in prices and charges between the funeral directors in the local area.
